Welcome our New Niece- Emilee Lynn Silva

Chris and I became Uncle and Auntie again on Saturday March 6, 2010. Emilee Lynn Silva arrived at 1:48am at the Kaiser Hospital in Antioch to my Brother Eric and his wife Kristi Silva. It was such an anticipated birth as Kristi found out that she was expecting when she was only a few weeks pregnant. To add to that, Kristi was due to deliver on February 25th and she did not deliver until March 6th. Everyone was so excited when we found out that she was in labor. She started having contractions early morning on March 5th. I arrived at the hospital around 6:00pm expecting to meet my niece within a few hours. Kristi unfortunately had some complications with the epidural and that delayed the progress of the labor. It was about 11:30pm when Kristi was ready to push miss Emilee into our world. We waited and waited for Eric to come in with that smile. Poor Kristi pushed for about 2 hours until Emilee arrived at 1:48am. We received the news that she had arrived and was eager to meet her. We were able to see shortly after and it was so amazing. She is so adorable!! Emilee Lynn weighed at 7lbs 10oz and was 20 3/4 inches long. She was born with a lot of brown hair. We were all so amazed with the little one that just joined our family. It was very special meeting her at less than an hour old. Kristi and Eric were thrilled about their new baby girl. Kristi and Emilee are doing very well... they were able to leave the hospital to come home the next day. We are so excited to visit the family this upcoming weekend at their home. We Love you Emilee!!!
